 +====== AD Boot Camp Oct 2020 ======
 +
 +**AD/MD Boot Camp, October 30-31, 2020**
 +===== Preparatory work for participants: =====
 +
 +  - Review our [[https://sendintl.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/sendu/EdDB380gBGBIkZKuafX099UBItBXuyLoeKyY-Ya_U58lBg?e=UG0qd1|SEND U onboarding process for new ADs/MDs]]. Please read through this process, and we will discuss how it applies to you at the boot camp.
 +  - Do a DiSC self-assessment called **Everything DiSC Work of Leaders**. It focuses on leadership for a group. It will help you learn your leadership style and your top three leadership priorities (vision, alignment, and execution) and how your personality profile impacts these three. Ken has sent you a link to this assessment.
 +  - Do a [[http://richardstep.com/richardstep-strengths-weaknesses-aptitude-test/free-aptitude-test-find-your-strengths-weaknesses-online-version/|free Strengths test]] if you have not done the StrengthsFinder test in the past.
 +  - Do a {{:send_area_leader_profile_self-assessment_nov_2016_a4.docx|self-assessment}}  based on the AD profile. The AD/MD profile is a one-page description of the skills and character traits of an ideal area/ministry director in SEND International. None of the field leaders match this description perfectly. It is not a description of the qualifications needed to become an AD but rather a description of the areas we want to develop. This profile gives both you some targets for growth and development.
 +
 +Print out your self-assessments and bring them with you as well as any questions you might have to the first session on Monday.
