A successful home service depends on effective communication and coordination between you, your field leaders, the US office, and your sending church. We know that every situation is different and some elements may still not be clear or might not fully apply to your situation, so feel free to contact your Member Care Coach or the US Member Care department with any questions. - Cell Phone/Technology Reimbursement Policy: As of April 1, 2022, the purchase price of one mobile phone per adult (discuss with your field treasurer amount to put in HS budget for new phone(s)) and monthly service plan for one phone (up to $50/month), as well as internet (up to $50/month) may be reimbursed as a Home Service expense after review by US Personnel to confirm that it is a reasonable expense. Requests for an exception to this can be directed to your Member Care Coach and reviewed by the Director of Personnel and Member Care. Once approved, the monthly expense for succeeding months may be included as a normal reimbursement item. The cost of monthly service plan for additional phones is a personal expense. If you need to purchase a new computer while you are on Home Service (for your next term), you can budget up to $1500 for a PC or $2200 for a MAC in your Home Service Budget.
