Teaming: Expectations and Accountability ~ MOP July 2018
Facilitator: Ken Guenther
Description:
SEND International is committed to teaming, but teams in SEND vary greatly in style, function, size and leadership. This session will explore expectations we have of our future team, and discuss the challenges that we face in creating functional teams on our different areas. We will seek to understand the role of the team leader and why team leaders are often reluctant to serve in this role. We will also emphasize the importance of good followership.
Objectives:
- To identify personal expectations new missionaries have in the area of teaming
- To discuss challenges that missionaries will face in working on teams
- To compare the different types of teams in SEND
- To commit to being good followers of their team leaders
- To identify teaming principles through a team-building exercise
